Reusing and recycling used technology protects the environment, helps to conserve natural resources and helps others access technology.

As the world’s growing dependency on technology and electronics increases, so does the amount of electronic waste, or e-waste that ends up in our landfills. E-waste, such as computers and cell phones, are filled with highly toxic materials including lead, mercury, cadmium and brominated flame-retardants. While statistically, e-waste only comprises 2% of America’s trash in landfills, it equates to 70% of overall toxic waste. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), “If Americans donated or recycled all their used electronics, we would prevent 2 million tons from ending up in the trash each year. That would amount would fill enough 18-wheelers to stretch from Chicago to Los Angeles.”

PowerON Services is committed to both the environment and our community by helping to reduce e-waste in our landfills across the country, conserving natural resources and providing access to less costly technology to those who need it. By trading-in or recycling your aging, unwanted technology you become our valued partner in these efforts. We encourage everyone to responsibly and safely recycle your used technology.
